Purpose
This agreement governs the relationship between SafeGo and independent driver-partners who provide transportation services through the SafeGo Driver app.
Scope
Applies to all drivers registered on SafeGo in Bangladesh and the United States.
Driver Status
- Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of SafeGo
- SafeGo provides the technology platform only
- Drivers choose when and where to work
- No minimum hours required
Eligibility Requirements
- Valid driving license for vehicle category
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Clean background (no serious criminal record)
- Vehicle must meet platform standards
Required Documents - Bangladesh:
- National ID Card (NID)
- Valid driving license
- Vehicle registration certificate
- Tax identification (if applicable)
Required Documents - United States:
- Government-issued ID
- Valid driver's license
- Vehicle registration and insurance
- Background check clearance
Driver Responsibilities
- Accept only trips you can complete
- Follow traffic laws at all times
- Maintain vehicle in safe condition
- Dress appropriately and maintain hygiene
- Treat all riders with respect - no discrimination
- Charge only the fare shown in the app - no overcharging
- Do not solicit rides outside the SafeGo app
- Complete all required safety training
- Report accidents or safety incidents immediately
- Maintain updated emergency contact information
Navigation Disclaimer
Important: SafeGo may integrate with third-party navigation services such as Google Maps, Waze, or Apple Maps to provide route guidance. These navigation tools are provided by third parties and SafeGo does not guarantee their accuracy, availability, or suitability.
As a driver, you are solely responsible for:
- Verifying route directions before and during trips
- Following all traffic laws regardless of navigation instructions
- Making safe driving decisions independent of navigation guidance
- Understanding that navigation data may be outdated or incorrect
SafeGo is not liable for any accidents, delays, or damages resulting from reliance on third-party navigation services.
Cancellations and No-Shows
- You may cancel a trip for valid safety reasons
- Excessive cancellations will result in warnings and possible suspension
- If a rider does not appear at pickup after the grace period, you may mark the trip as a no-show
- Fraudulent no-show reports will result in immediate account review
Earnings and Payouts
Bangladesh:
- Drivers collect cash fares directly from riders
- Platform commission is deducted during weekly settlement
- Weekly settlement cycle: Sunday close, Monday-Thursday collection
- Outstanding negative balances must be cleared before payout
United States:
- Earnings deposited to your linked bank account
- Weekly payout schedule
- Platform commission deducted automatically
- Tips go 100% to the driver
Safety Requirements
- Complete all required safety training modules
- Report accidents or incidents immediately through the app
- Keep your emergency contact information updated
- Follow all applicable health and safety guidelines
- Use the in-app SOS feature if you feel unsafe during a trip
Account Suspension and Enforcement
Violations of these terms may result in:
- Warning: First minor violation with documented reason
- Temporary Suspension: 1-30 days for repeated violations or serious policy breaches
- Permanent Blocking: Criminal activity, fraud, assault, or repeated serious violations
- Legal Action: For criminal activity or fraud
Reasons for Suspension Include:
- Overcharging riders outside the app
- Rude, aggressive, or discriminatory behavior
- Excessive trip cancellations
- Failure to settle outstanding commission
- Submitting fake or fraudulent documents
- Operating with an unverified or suspended account
Appeals Process
- Submit an appeal through driver support within 7 days of suspension
- Provide any supporting evidence
- Decision will be made within 5 business days
- Admin decision is final
Pilot Note
During pilot phase, driver support is limited to business hours. Settlement schedules and commission rates may be adjusted based on operational needs. Some features may not be available in all regions.
